CFII Ryan Burkett, a member of our association, bought his own airplane and has started a very successful flight school alongside his father. He offers flight training, discovery flights and bi-annual flight reviews out of Ocean Isle Beach (Odell Williamson Municipal Airport 60J)
Ryan holds multiple licenses and certifications, including PPL, instrument, commercial, multi, CFI, and CFII. He graduated from Middle Georgia State University in Eastman, Georgia, and has 10 years of experience in aviation, having started flying at the age of 16. Ryan has known he wanted to be a pilot since he was 2 years old, inspired by his father, an avionics mechanic in the Navy and a Delta employee. With over 3 years of experience as a CFI, what Ryan enjoys most about being a flight instructor is passing on his knowledge and experience to help his students navigate real-world situations.
